“I learn a lot from my clients. Designing and building a home can be the biggest decision that a couple or an investor will make, so the most important aspect of my job is to listen. Ultimately, my job is to make the client happy, designing a home that addresses their needs and wants.”
Mark Schroeder has over twenty years of experience as an AIA architect specializing in residential design including single-family dwellings, condominiums, duplexes and entire subdivisions. He is currently registered in Louisiana and Florida.
A graduate of the University of Southern California’s (USC) School of Architecture, Schroeder began his career in California and through his employment at Gensler & Associates, he assisted with several large-scale commercial projects. After working in the commercial architectural realm he shifted his focus, taking on more residential projects to work with individuals versus large corporations.
“I learn a lot from my clients. Designing and building a home can be the biggest decision that a couple or an investor will make, so the most important aspect of my job is to listen. Ultimately, my mission is to make the client happy, designing a home that addresses their needs and wants,” says Schroeder.
With numerous projects underway throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area, he is regarded as an authority when it comes to the process of designing new homes. Working with local, highly regarded contractors and engineers, Schroeder has designed homes as well as entire subdivisions. Recently, he was awarded top honors by the Historic District Landmarks Commission (HDLC), the stewards of New Orleans’ historic architecture, for his work on a condominium complex near the French Quarter.
